Salted Brownie Cookies

I wanted to create a cookie recipe that was healthy, but still filled with chocolate and satisfied my sweet tooth. I feel better when I don’t eat grains or refined sugar and these cookies pass the test. I also made them vegan so everyone can enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups almond flour

  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder

  • 1/3  cup coconut oil (melted)

  • 1/4 cup coconut sugar

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips or chunks

  • Flaky sea salt (optional)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350ºF and line baking sheet with parchment paper

  2. Mix flour, sugar, baking soda, cocoa powder and salt in a bowl

  3. Add in water and coconut oil to form dough

  4. Add chocolate chips

  5. Using a scoop or spoon make small balls and place on baking sheet, one inch apart

  6. Bake for about 12-15 mins

  7. Top with flaky sea salt while still warm

  8. Let cool before enjoying!
